As part of the National Symphony Orchestra’s (NSO/OSK) 30th anniversary, they’re going to be performing classical orchestra hits during the Celebration of Classical Music Lambang Sari Series 2023.

There will be four performances featuring the greatest Western music compositions, spread over several months from July until November.

You wanna know the best part about it? The tickets are ONLY RM30!

Exquisite performances at Rahmah prices

Yes, you heard that right, RM30 and you can choose whatever seats you want. That’s utterly cheap for an orchestra performance playing symphonic music from Mozart and Bach to Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn.

Usually, the cheapest tickets you can get for these kinda shows is RM180 so Malaysians are in for a treat these upcoming months. Istana Budaya (IB) wants everyone from all walks of life to be able to witness this lavish experience that the upper class usually appreciates.

Istana Budaya director-general Zubaidah Mukhtar said, “We would like to fulfil the wishes of the government for the people to enjoy tickets at reasonable prices or Rahmah prices in addition to celebrating the 30th anniversary of the National Symphony Orchestra (OSK).”

Usually the cheapest price for an orchestra concert ticket is around RM180, but we want to give all sections of society exposure (to classical music).

Despite the low ticket price, the performance quality remains top-notch.

The show will feature different soloists for each performance which consists of 25 OSK musicians and 10 guest musicians. Some of the compositions they will perform are from legendary composers such as:

  • Bach
  • Mendelssohn
  • Dittersdorf
  • Josef Suk
  • Reinecke
  • Mozart
  • Tchaikovsky
