If you have seen the first Avengers movie, then you would remember how Fury brought the first six avengers together as a team to defeat Loki and his army of Chitahuri. The idea to form a group of superheroes came to him after meeting with Captain Marvel a.k.a Carol Danvers.

Following his encounter with Captain Marvel, Fury concluded that Earth’s resources, even in the face of interplanetary threats, were insufficient to protect the world. To safeguard everyone, he founded the “Avengers Initiative,” formerly known as the “Protector Initiative,” a group made up of the strongest heroes on earth.

He was also responsible in recruiting Captain America for Avengers. This can be seen in the famous gym post-credit scene in Captain America: First Avenger.

She is one of his best agents because of her persistent loyalty, reliability, and shared commitment to their cause. She regularly exhibits a profound comprehension of Fury’s intents, ideas, and motivations as his buddy.

In the 2019 film Captain Marvel, it was made clear that Fury lost his eye because of an unanticipated injury from Goose, a Flerken, an alien species Mar-Vell brought to Earth.
