Social media has witnessed many happy moments and sad ones.

Recently, a mother’s sharing brought tears to many.

Anna, the mother of Zarif Azri, shared his dialysis journey at a hospital on her Instagram account prior to his death. Zarif died in 2020 and Anna reshared her story recently as a dedication to the hospital’s frontliners.

According to an interview with World of Buzz, Anna said that Zarif was diagnosed with PUV (Posterior Urethral Valve) since before he was born.

She said that PUV prevented Zarif from urinating normally as the pee would reflux back into his kidney, becoming dilated, and this in turn resulted in damage to his kidneys.

In the Instagram post, she said that Zarif started his dialysis in the year 2018 and he had to do it 3 to 4 times a week.

He would have to endure the side effects like headaches, vomiting, stomach and leg cramps during the dialysis.

Anna also shared another video of Zarif hugging the nurses the day he was brought back home. The doctors declared that there was nothing more they could do for him. Zarif passed away 9 days after he was brought home.

The scene where he hugged all the nurses with love and appreciation would make any grown person cry.

“Special thanks to all general and dialysis nurses of KK1 IPHKL and Peads Dialysis Unit Ward 9C Hospital Tuanku Azizah KL who has taken care of Zarif.”
