76-Year-Old Senior Citizen Dies In Sentul, Beaten With Chair Over RM250 Debt
Following the incident, a 63-year-old man was arrested when he came to the police station to make a report.

An elderly man died after fighting with another man who was believed to owe him RM250.
The incident happened at 6.45 am on Friday (28 Jan) at a restaurant in Metro Prima Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.
The 76-year-old victim was found dead on the side of the road about 100m from the fight’s location.
Sentul police chief ACP Beh Eng Lai said in a statement that police received a call about the incident at 7.30 am from a 48-year-old local man.
The victim is said to have been beaten by the suspect using a plastic chair while the victim also responded to the attack with a cable rod. The fight was then broken up by some Rela members who were at the scene and the victim then left on foot.

However, when walking away from the scene, the victim collapsed and was confirmed dead afterwards.
Following the incident, police arrested a 63-year-old man at 11 am the same day when he came to the Kepong Police Station to make a report.
A white plastic chair and a black cable rod used in the fight were also confiscated for further investigation.
The cause of the fight is believed to be due to a debt problem where the suspect failed to pay the victim a debt of RM250.

He said the suspect would be remanded to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The victim’s body was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for an autopsy to identify the cause of death.
