Ex-top Cop Amar Singh Rubbished RPK’s Claims That He Brought His Girlfriend To Raid Najib’s House
Raja Petra Kamarudin yesterday claimed that he was informed by a policeman that retired policeman Amar Singh’s girlfriend was present during the raid on premises linked to former premier Najib Razak in May 2018.

Retired police personnel Datuk Seri Amar Singh had strongly denied allegations made by controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin that his girlfriend was present at a raid on former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s home in May 2018.
According to The Star, the former Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director said he would lodge a police report against Raja Petra, popularly known by his moniker RPK, following the allegation made through his Malaysia Today portal.
“Detailed records were made of what was recovered. No such (civilian) lady was present nor anything removed as alleged.
“It is important to note that the raid was conducted by a team comprising several deputy directors and assistant directors of the police, very senior police officers, of which, some later became directors and state police chiefs,” Amar was quoted as saying.
He added that the raid was the biggest raid in the history of the Royal Malaysia Police force where 70 police personnel across several divisions – including from CCID, Special Action Unit (UTK), CID and the Traffic department – were involved in the operation.
“There is just no way anything can go through this team without anyone noticing. Moreover, this team just met on the day of the raid.
“There is therefore no possibility of any conspiracy to cover up. I had purposely comprised all my teams from different elements so as to prevent future false allegations by mercenaries like RPK about the raid,” said Amar.
Amar, who retired from the force at the end of 2018, several months after the raid on Najib’s house, also added that the entire operation process was photographed and recorded on video by an independent team from CID.
“Furthermore the building where the raid was conducted has more than 100 CCTV cameras and more than 50 reporters were waiting in the lobby, the only exit out of the building at the time.
“None of the reporters saw a civilian lady walking out from the raid, that too with a large suitcase as alleged.”
In his blog posting yesterday, Raja Petra claimed that he was informed by a policeman that not only Amar’s girlfriend was present during the raid on Naib’s house, but she also left with one of the bags that was seized by the police during its operation in 2018.
Amar also said that he was informed that another senior police officer who was present during the raid will also lodge a report against Raja Petra due to the allegations that he made.
In a related matter, Amar denied that he had migrated to Canada, adding that he would stay in the country till the day he dies.
“If one has done one’s duty with integrity there is certainly nothing to worry about,” he said.
He also challenged Raja Petra to return home and present all the evidence he had on the case.
A host of luxury items including 52 branded handbags were confiscated from six premises linked to Najib that was raided by the police in May 2018.
The raids were linked to Najib’s involvement in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.
