Singapore and Malaysia have agreed to restart cross-border air travel through the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) starting 29 November 2021 according to Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
He said on Facebook that Singapore and Malaysia have made good progress in vaccinating their populations and managing the pandemic.
So we agreed that it is timely to progressively resume cross-border travel between both countries. This will help revive our economies, restore people-to-people ties, and strengthen our bilateral partnership.

He also said that both countries are also discussing reopening travel across the Causeway and the Second Link.
We look forward to launching a similar VTL scheme between Singapore and Johor in the near future.
