Realme Announced New Laptops Alongside A Beard Trimmer
realme Book i3, realme Book i5, and the realme Beard Trimmer set to launch on 27 August.

We know them for their smartphones and accompanying accessories, but the recent announcement by realme surprised us with laptops and a beard trimmer instead.
The laptops come in two models. Both share the same basic specifications, but one of them has a better processor.
Processor, Memory, & Storage
Inside both realme Book the is 11th Gen Intel Processor with Intel Iris XE Graphis. That means it has the latest generation of processors and built-in graphics. In other words, they are good for productivity applications (like word processors and spreadsheets) and perhaps some light media editing (photo editing).
The 8GB RAM and a modest amount of storage (depending on the model) says the same thing as well.
It is suitable for on the go professionals, students, and anyone who needs a dependable workhorse and don’t need intense power for gaming, rendering, or video editing.
Cooling, Display, & Weight
Both realme Book are also fitted with a Dual-fan Storm Cooling System, a fancy way of saying heat pipes and fans. This is to make sure the system can perform as it should and it does not get too hot.
With a 14in 2K display paired and Harman speakers that supports DTS HD stereo, the realme Book have higher than average screen resolution and good audio.
At 4.9mm thick and approximately 1.38kg, the realme Book looks to be as portable as a folio. The full metal construction, however, means you might not want to place this laptop on your lap when in use because it will heat up, and that’s normal.
Battery, Charging, & Connectivity
According to realme, the realme Book is powered by a 54Wh battery that could theoretically play a 1080p video for 11 hours.
When the battery runs out, the 65W Super Fast Charge Technology should be able to bring it back up by 50% in 30 minutes.
For peripherals, there are two Thunderbolt 4 Ports, that look and function like a USB-C port, and a full-size USB port next to an audio port.
You will definitely want a USB hub if you are planning to plug in more than just an external keyboard or mouse.
The Bear Trimmer
While this is not a peripheral for the realme Book, it is charged using a USB-C port. It is said to be low noise and has a travel lock button.
Why announce it alongside laptops? We don’t know. But we appreciate the suggestion of keeping ourselves well-kept even when working from home.
