Malaysians never cease to amaze us with their pure grit and determination, even when facing insurmountable odds.
For best friends Mei Ng and Aimee Soon, they found each other in a hopeless place- while undergoing chemotherapy to battle breast cancer, all while pregnant.
The shared traumatic experience brought the two closer together, keeping their bond strong even after their hard-fought victory against cancer. But the effects of cancer are long-lasting.
While living with cancer, we won’t even look in the mirror for an extra second. We had no confidence, only low self-esteem and even self-hatred for becoming this hideous.

They both wanted to return to their pre-cancer selves, to dress up and feel beautiful, which is why they founded a fashion line in 2017: Wonder Me.
Because of this, Mei Ng and Aimee Soon hopes that their outfits help to channel positivity and confidence to women fighting their own battles.
An outfit is like a second skin to women, we know this better than anyone.

Their pieces are trendy, feminine, and colourful; particularly the new 2021 Chinese New Year Collection, which takes the traditional cheongsam design and adds festive flair to it with floral motifs and vibrant checked patterns, perfect for reflecting optimism and positivity for the new year.
Wonder Me keeps their supply chain fully in-house and employs skilled retirees to hand-sew their designs, resulting in quality pieces at afforable prices.
Additionally, because of the hand-sewn nature of the designs, they offer customized alternations as well to make the clothes perfect.
Every article of Wonder Me comes with a little wish of ours: we hope they will become your bestie who knows you the best, keeping you company, and adding colours to your everyday life.

They have two physical outlets in Bangsar Shopping Centre and Sri Petaling, as well as an online presence on their website, Facebook, or Instagram.
Looking back at their journey full of twists and turns, Mei and Aimee can’t help but to marvel at the miracles and blessings they’ve had. If anything, their struggles with cancer have made them determined to urge all women facing hardships to remember to love themselves and to never give up.
Not only do we want to become a better person, to live with love and confidence; we also hope to inspire women to live a meaningful and valuable life.
