[UPDATE] Based on reports from MalaysiaKini, the police and Health Ministry have ordered the new Uniqlo store to close temporarily for sanitisation and to sort out arrangements for the management of the queue outside the building.

The police said that the store adhered to the SOP by allowing only 50 people to enter at one time but the situation outside of the store needed improving.

They said that although the store is being reopened, the police will still monitor the crowd.

Malaysians like free stuff, whether it’s a drink, a meal or anything really, we like to get free stuff because you know, it’s, free bro.

So much so that when Uniqlo opened up their road side store in Damansara, and were offering free goodie bags, you can already guess what’s going to happen next.

People flocked to the new store despite of the Covid-19 pandemic, which even caught the attention of the police.

Based on the comments on Facebook, entry into the store is limited to only 140 people at a time.

This raised concern amongst netizens who fear of a new cluster coming up soon due to the amount of people who are at the location at the same time, especially when most of Selangor are red zones.

Some even questioned why people would actually risk their lives during a pandemic just to be there.

It’s understandable why many are concerned with the situation as the country is still in the fight against Covid-19 with thousands of cases being reported recently.

The question is, would you risk it for a new shirt?
