Pasar Borong Kuala Lumpur or the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market will temporarily close after 2 vegetable traders were tested positive of COVID-19.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will carry out sanitation work in the market and local authorities have issued a notice to inform the wholesalers’ associations.
The market will be closed from 7.30am to 11pm tomorrow and will resume operations after that.
It has been reported that authorities have started cleaning the stall operated by the 2 traders who were affected.
Wholesalers have been instructed to move their vegetables away from the market so that their produce won’t be damaged by the exercise.
DBKL has also planned to use the first Sunday of every month as the time to clean the wholesale market area.
