Some people think that pigeons are pests and call their city hall to deal with it. Some people take matters into their own hands.

According to SJ Echo, a suspected serial killer is on the loose. They received a report from netizen Zilla, who was distraught to find more than a dozen dead pigeons in SS15, Subang Jaya.

Zilla claims that she was in the area to buy mangosteens at a nearby stall. She was told that earlier, an old lady was feeding the birds in the morning. Then, just two hours later, all the birds dropped dead on the spot.

Due to the circumstances, Zilla suspects that the birds were all poisoned, possibly by the old lady.

This is cruel. Someone killed them on purpose.

A very illegal method

The thing is, even if you may find them to be complete pests, it is illegal to kill animals with the use of poison.

Under Section 79 of the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010, anyone who uses any poison for the purpose of hunting wildlife can be liable to a fine up to RM50,000 or prison charges up to 2 years or both.

Not only is it a cruel and painful way for animals to die, but the poison can also make its way back into our ecosystem, either from another animal eating the poisoned animal, or from poison leaching into the ground.

SJ Echo is calling for anyone else who has additional information to come forward. See the full post below.
