The government has announced that theme parks – including water parks – will be allowed to open starting 1 July.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said it will involve 54 theme parks nationwide and a labour force of 10,000.
He said theme park operators must adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) such as social distancing.
The limit of people allowed to enter, Ismail Sabri added, is according to the capacity of the premise.
Visitors have to register with MySejahtera and undergo body temperature checks and sanitisation.
For water theme parks specifically, they have to follow the guidelines for management and maintenance of public pools and water quality, Ismail Sabri said.
