Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the case of a seven-year-old boy being caged at a school in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, for misbehaving has been settled.

According to New Straits Times, there was an amicable solution between the school and the parents regarding the issue.

On Tuesday, a Year One student was reportedly locked in a room with an iron fence resembling a cage. There is an electricity box nearby too.

The boy was allegedly locked in there by a teacher as punishment for pulling down his classmate’s trousers.

The boy’s father has since apologised to the classmate’s parents for his son’s behaviour.
