Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will battle it out in court over a libel suit worth RM150 million.
This comes after Dr Mahathir previously asked Anwar to retract his accusastions of the former having enriched himself and his family members and being a racist.
Anwar did not issue a retraction, instead saying he was prepared to provide evidence to back up his claims.
In an update today, Free Malaysia Today said Dr Mahathir has filed the suit and is seeking RM50 million in general damages and RM100 million in exemplary damages.
The issue stemmed from a speech Anwar had given on March 18 in which Dr Mahathir claimed the current prime minister was referring to him.
Anwar did not name anyone in his March 18 speech, as reported by the Malay Mail.
