[Watch] Accident At Jalan Pudu Kills A Passenger, Man Blames Death On Late Ambulance

A 30-year-old car passenger perished in the accident while the driver was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

A car passenger died at the scene after getting involved in an accident near Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur, around 5.50am on Monday, 22 August.

According to Utusan, a 23-year-old woman driving a Perodua Axia lost control of her vehicle and hit the road curb before skidding. Police received a report of the accident at 6.50am.

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the driver sustained injuries and was sent to the red zone in Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

However, a 30-year-old male passenger died at the scene.

In a video uploaded on Facebook, a member of the public could be heard shouting at the paramedics because the ambulance allegedly arrived late to the scene.

The man assumed that the delay was due to racial bias.

Netizens said the man can’t blame the death of the passenger on the hospital and the speed of the ambulance.

They also questioned why the man tried to turn it into a racial issue and asked others to empathise with the work demands of healthcare professionals.

A netizen added that the paramedics responding to the emergency call wouldn’t know the race of the victim.
