Police Tracking Down Suspect & Car Owner Linked To NKVE Road Bully Incident

A male driver was caught on camera overtaking another vehicle before coming to a complete stop in the middle of NKVE and confronting the vehicle’s driver and passenger last Sunday.

Police are now tracking down the suspect and owner of a white Honda City with regards to the road bully case on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near the Bukit Raja Selangor toll plaza on Sunday.

The incident was recorded by the victim’s vehicle dash cam and the 57-second video had since gone viral over social media.

Inside the video, a white Honda City can be seen overtaking the victim’s car in the middle lane before coming to a complete stop in the middle of the expressway.

“The suspect then got out of his car and began shouting and cursing the woman and her husband.

“The complainant also saw that the suspect threw an unidentified object towards her car as she and her husband were leaving,” Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said in a statement.

The victim, a 41-year-old operation manager subsequently lodge a police report regarding the incident on the same day at Section 6 police station.

According to the victim, she and her husband are travelling towards Shah Alam from Taman Melawati.

Mohd Iqbal said that the case is being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code.

He added that there is no physical contact involved during the incident and the next course of action is the track the white Honda City’s car owner and the male suspect to record their statements.

Mohd Iqbal also urged those with information on the incident to contact the case’s investigating officer Inspector Mohd Syer Aidid Rusazman Sharan at 019-2223361.
