The finalist of Miss International Malaysia 2022 Abby Lee got into hot waters when her racist-fueled Instagram Stories were made known.

A Facebook user Hui Yue captured screenshots of Abby, a Malaysian-born Chinese woman, who attacked Malaysia and Malaysians and posted it all online.

According to The Sun, Abby’s xenophobic comments extended to the people of central and south Asian nationalities.

At one point, she lamented that she wasn’t born in a big city in China. Apparently, she also claimed she never wanted to admit that she was Malaysian.

Why was I born at a kampung in Malaysia and not a big city in China? I love China and Japan.

Abby Lee allegedly wrote on social media.

The other comments captured by the Facebook user included the times when Abby was rude to her mother for reminding her to drink water.

She also threw items at her family members each time Lee Chong Wei scored a point against Lin Dan during a badminton tournament. Abby constantly blamed her parents for not sending her to study overseas too.

The pageant contestant also claimed that the previous winners had work done to their faces which contributed to their win. Despite feeling conscious about her teeth, she said she’s a natural beauty and might stand a chance to win the pageant.

Hui Yue tried to contact Miss International Malaysia regarding this issue about their contestant but the organisation blocked her instead of taking action.

On a brighter note, Abby didn’t win the pageant and any mention of the model seems to have been erased from the official Instagram account of Miss International Malaysia.

Netizens were shocked by her behaviour

Netizens blasted Abby for behaving poorly as a pageant contestant who’s supposed to be a role model to others.

A few of them said that Abby was immature, lacked good manners and did not possess the quality of Miss International Malaysia.

They also pointed out her spoiled attitude and for treating her parents badly.

The others were shocked by Abby’s poor language skills because they had a hard time understanding her posts on her social media.

Abby apologised online

Abby Lee has since written an apology on Instagram Story and claimed that the rumours were groundless.

She said she didn’t mean to offend or hurt anyone and said she was very sorry for causing trouble for Miss International Malaysia.
