Objectively speaking, 2020 hasn’t been a good year. While we are loathe to so quickly dismiss the time we have, the fact of the matter is that many people can’t wait for the year to be over.
So what better way is there to look towards a less anxious future than some Lat illustrations to accompany you?
Playtime With Lat 2021 is an exclusive calendar brought to you by MPH Bookstores in collaboration with our very own favourite cartoonist Lat.
For the collaboration, Dato’ Mohammad Nor Khalid highlights some of his favourite pastimes as a child when he lived in the kampung.

The calendar will feature illustrations of traditional Malaysian childhood games such as congkak, batu seremban, gasing, bamboo popguns, and ice-cream stick helicopters.
The illustrations paired with the calendar can serve as a reminder of our childhood memories, fun times, and innocence. Which, all things considered, are so important to keep our spirits up during this pandemic.
The calendar is currently available for pre-order on the MPH bookstores website, but will be available in stores by late November.
