Sarawak’s New Requirements For Entry From Sabah & Labuan Starts TODAY

Those entering Sarawak from Sabah and Labuan are now required to download and fill in their details in the ‘EnterSarawak’ app on their phones and include their Covid-19 test results before the travel date, according to reports by Bernama.

The decision was made by the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) which said that decision was made as Covid-19 cases continue to climb in Sabah.

Visitors will be given a limited five-day entry pass in the states and the visitors should attach their return ticket along with the entry pass.

They are also required to attach their real-time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test results at least three days before their travel date or they will be barred from entering.

As for Sarawakians, permanent residents and visa pass holders of the state, they will also need to download the app and fill up their particulars at in the same app.

They would also have to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine, wear a wristband and undergo RT-PCR test on the second and 10th day.

Frequent travellers between Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak would need to apply for a special pass from any of the divisional disaster management committees in the state.

They will have to take the RT-PCR test every two weeks and failing to do so will result in the cancellation of their pass.

All citizens and foreigners who wishes to enter Sarawak must declare if they have been in Sabah or Labuan in the last 14 days. If they make a false declaration, action can be taken under the State Protection of Public Health Ordinance 1999.
