Penang Adventist Hospital Closed For 2 Days After Staff Exposed To Covid-19

Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH) has been closed for 2 days after a patient from Kulim, Kedah tested positive for Covid-19.
What you need to know: 57 nurses and 2 doctors have been ordered to quarantine themselves at home and take antigen tests after they were exposed to the 56-year-old patient.
The hospital is closed for 2 days (15 and 16 August) for disinfection purposes with only the accident and emergency department operating as usual.
What caused the exposure: According to reports, the woman was admitted to the hospital on 7 August to be treated for a leg wound infection.
She was later was identified as a close contact and the sister in-law of the index case in Kedah’s Tawar Cluster.
The woman then tested positive after she was transferred to the Penang General Hospital.
