Police Offering 50% Off Traffic Summons Through Online Payments
In conjunction with the 213rd Police Day celebration, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is offering a special 50% discount on traffic summons from March 25 to 29.
And because physical payment counters are closed during the Movement Control Order (MCO), which has been extended till April 14, the discount would only apply for payments made online.
PDRM mentioned that the e-payment discount was introduced to “sweeten the pot”, per se, to help Malaysians stay home and stick to the quarantine orders.
Payments can be made through MyEG or Rilek e-payment platform.
Meanwhile, the Transport Ministry also wants Malaysians to renew their motor insurance and driving license, online.
The ministry had announced that for the entire period of the MCO, Malaysians are allowed to drive with an expired license, given that their car insurance (road tax) is still active.

Drivers are however encouraged to renew their driving licenses online and collect their physical licenses after the quarantine is over, but Malaysians are advised to carry any proof of payment if your licenses have been renewed to avoid any issues.
Driving licenses and motor insurance can be renewed via the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) MySikap portal or through MyEG.
