It’s not really rocket science (pun intended…) to figure that your dietary habits do indeed have a direct impact on your sexual health.

The things you consume effects your libido, stamina and the overall health of your sperm, a crucial ingredient in turning men into daddies.

So if any of you out there are looking to improve your chances in conceiving, here are 6 foods that can help boost your squiggly swimmers;

Eggs

In an “egg for an egg” kinda way, eggs are one of the healthiest sources of nutrients for the body. It’s rich in protein and vitamin as well as Omega-3 fatty acids.

Eating eggs can improve sperm count and the longevity of your sperm, as well as protect the cells from oxidative stress – an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in your body.

Salmon

The creatures that swim in the seas are also very good for your swimmers!

Seafood, especially salmon is filled with omega fats that are great to promote sperm count, sperm mortality and the shape of the sperm.

Berries

Berries are a berry-good source of vitamins and antioxidants.

The anti-inflammatory effects of berries also induce healthier sperm production and make them stronger.

So it’s a wise choice to add more cranberries, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries into your diet.

Garlic

Containing selenium, zinc and Vitamin B6, garlic is not only great at warding off vampires, but it’s also good to produce healthy sperm.

The cleansing properties of garlic improve blood flow to the testes and zinc can increase testosterone levels in the body.

Chocolate

Now, who doesn’t love the taste of chocolate?

Plain chocolate and especially dark chocolate holds amino acids and arginine that boost the quality and number of sperm.

Chocolate is also high in antioxidants that good for the body.

But do remember to pace yourselves. A few bites a day is plenty enough to keep yourself and your swimmers in tip-top shape.

Pineapple

As the urban sex legend goes, munching and drinking pineapple juice can make your man juices taste better.

Now the first thing that needs to be pointed out is that sperm and semen are two totally different things.

Semen is the organic fluid emitted from the male reproductive tract that contains sperm cells which makes up less than 1% of ejaculatory fluids.

Though pineapples are known to improve male fertility and help with the longevity of sperm cells,  there has been no clear scientific research to show that the fruit can improve the taste of your manly secretions.

80% of semen is made up of water and contains proteins, amino acids calcium, vitamins and a host of other nutrients.

Scientist says that the taste of your man juices all comes down to its pH levels. As it is alkaline in nature, keeping a balanced pH level may help cut down on the bitterness.

This can be achieved by drinking lots of water and maintaining a healthy diet and exercise, like most things if you want to keep your body in prime condition.
