Burger King Malaysia (Burger King), a subsidiary of 99 Speedmart, posted a piece of good news on Facebook this evening.
Burger King announced that it has also launched its version of Menu Rahmah, the first for a major fast food chain in Malaysia.
The Menu Rahmah consists of a burger (chicken or beef with cheese) and a bottle of drinking water for only RM5.
Burger King said it is in response to the Menu Rahmah launched by the government, which offers meals at affordable prices.
Many netizens immediately rushed to the post to leave comments.
They said other fast food joints should follow in the footsteps of Burger King.
Netizens added that burgers sold at street stalls now cost more than that.

At the same time, some pointed out that RM5 deals at Burger King are nothing new.
Burger King has been doing this for years. They just renamed it to menu rahmah now. Check their monthly coupon promos and you’ll find the best deal. Btw McD also got Mix and Match set. I bet they will also change it to Menu Rahmah soon hahaha

Meanwhile, Sinar Harian reported that the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living is also planning to develop a special app for Menu Rahmah.
The app will make it easier for the public to get information about Menu Rahmah.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, said the application would display the location, including specific times to get the Rahmah Menu.
It is understood that the application is being developed and is expected to be ready soon.
The Menu Rahmah initiative has attracted the participation of more than 15,000 restaurants across the country since it was launched in January 2023.
