Fully Vaxxed Travellers Can Now Request To Quarantine At Home, Says MOH
Travellers need to apply 7-10 days before arriving in the country.

Starting today, fully vaccinated travellers can now apply for home quarantine once they arrive in the country, according to the Health Ministry.
The Ministry that mentioned in a tweet that fully vaccinated travellers who wish to apply can do so within 7-10 days before arrival.
Here are the requirements:
Fully vaccinated travellers
- Home or residence must be suitable based on risk evaluation
- Negative Covid-19 PCR Test within 3 days of departure
The Ministry also mentioned in their website that that the risk evaluation is based on:
- Number of persons in said home or residence
- Number of elderly persons in said home or resindence (above 60 years of age)
- Number of children in said home or residence (below 12 years of age)
- Number of persons with chronic illnesses in said home or residence
- Number of pregnant mothers in said home or residence
- Number of rooms in said home or residence
- Number of bathrooms in said home or residence
- Number of bedrooms with en suite bathrooms in said home or residence
To apply, you can visit either moh.gov.my or the Home Quarantine Application (HQA) portal from 21 September 2021 at 8 am.
During the application process, you need to make sure to:
- Provide a valid ID and vaccination certificate
- Applications must be made 7-10 days prior to date of entry into Malaysia
- All applications for arrivals from 28 September 2021 onwards should be made via the HQA portal
Here’s what you need to do once arriving in Malaysia.
- Undergo a PCR Test upon arrival
- Present approval letter for Home Quarantine
- Travellers who have qualified for Home Quarantine will be issued with a wristband or a digital tracker
- These travellers will be known as Person Under Surveillance (PUS) and this status will be displayed on their MySejahtera
- All travellers must in quarantine for 14 days
- All travellers in quarantine must complete the Home Assessment Tool in MySejahtera everyday
