Gyms in PPN’s phase two and three will be allowed to operate soon for fully vaccinated individuals.
The Star quoted Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker who said that these establishments can open after the National Security Council has gazetted the relevant SOPs.
It’s also reported that gyms would need to adhere to existing Covid-19 SOPs such as physical distancing, wearing face masks and sanitising hands and equipment.
Ti also mentioned that there would be additional SOPs for gyms and sports facilities.
Once the SOP has been gazetted and published, the operators are allowed to open. There were some initial concerns by the Health Ministry about ventilation issues but these are being resolved.
