Selangor Prepping For Vaccine Booster Shots (In Case Its Needed Lah)

Selangor state government is now preparing to implement a third booster shot if necessary via the Selangor Vaccine Programme (SelVax), accroding to the Chairman of the Selangor Standing Committee on Public Health, Unity, Women and Family Development, Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.
She was quoted by Berita Harian saying that preparations are also on the way for vaccine recipients aged 18 and below.
However, she said that it is subject to approval by the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Assurance Special Committee (JKJAV).
According to reports, as of 22 August, 224,880 doses have been administered via SelVAX Community and there’s a balance of 275,120 doses left.
So far, Dr Siti Mariah said, the state government has allocated about RM130 million for the purchase of 1.25 million vaccine doses.
