Four Malaysian future accountants scored top grades internationally in this year’s ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Examinations.
This year’s ACCA papers held in June 2021 were the first-ever completely Remote Invigilation (RI) examinations, but that didn’t stop 103,000 accounting students globally from signing up, and our very own Malaysian future accountants from taking top spots.
Best Scores In The World
Under the ACCA Qualification category, Hannah Mumtazah Ahmad Murshidi, a student at Universiti Technologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, ranked world first in Financial Management, and also earned a national top score in Strategic Business Reporting.
Ng Jia Hui beat out the rest of the global competition as well to score top marks in Audit and Assurance in the ACCA Qualification category.

Students in the Foundation in Accountancy performed brilliantly as well, with Lim Hui Ning, from Sunway TES Centre for Accountancy Excellence, gaining top global scores for both Foundations in Taxation and Foundation in Audit. Another student Joleyn Chan also achieved top scores in the Management Information paper.
However, another student Kok Xue Min gained the #1 nationwide position among Malaysia’s ACCA affiliates, even without any international top scores.
Consistent Wins
Malaysian students have consistently ranked well in ACCA examinations, and their accomplishments this year are all the more impressive as they have soldiered on through the pandemic and all its uncertainties.

Ling acknowledges that our Malaysian students have done remarkably well, even under the pressure and stress of the pandemic disruptions and the fully-online examination process.
Their achievements are well-deserved, and are certainly a source of inspiration to all young Malaysians striving to become successful in their respective fields of study.
