25% Of Malaysia’s Population Has Received Their First Vaccine Dose

More than 8 million have received their first jab.

Malaysia has reached the quarter mark as 25% of the country’s population has received at least one dose of vaccine, based on the stats from the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (JKJAV).

So far, 8,364,354 Malaysians have received their first dose while 3,848,376 have received their second dose. In total, 12,212,730 vaccines (dose one and two) have been given out.

On 13 July, 424,541 doses were administered, making it the highest to date.

Selangor has given out 72,664 first dose and 25,696 second dose shots on 13 July while Kuala Lumpur registered 47,244 first dose and 23,707 second dose jabs.

Selangor + Wilayah Persekutuan (which includes Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) has the highest number of vaccinations with 3,198,151 first dose jabs and 984,631 second dose jabs.

The other state that has given out over a million shots is Sarawak which rolled out 1,437,565 first doses and 661,799 second doses. Now the state has covered half of their population as 51% have been given at least one dose.
