The conditional movement control order (CMCO) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Sabah is extended till the end of 2020.

Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said because of the ongoing Covid-19 outbreaks, the CMCO enforced in these areas will continue from 21 to 31 December.

However, three areas in Selangor – Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor – are exempted from the extension and would return to the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period.

Despite the CMCO, the government had previously announced that inter-district and interstate travel across the country, except in and between Enhance Movement Control (EMCO) areas, would be allowed.

The minister also said that tourism, cultural as well as sports, recreation and entertainment activities and facilities would be allowed to operate in accordance to SOP, except in EMCO areas.
