Goh Liu Ying suffers from chronic injuries which causes pain and requires constant care.
Her right knee had a meniscus tear and a partial ligament tear, and her left knee was also carrying a small meniscus tear. She had undergone surgery in 2014, but she still requires constant fluid injections into her knees as lubrication and cushioning, especially due to her intense athletic lifestyle.
In 2017, she had also injured her right shoulder.
