A total of 47 areas in the Petaling district will experience water supply disruption for up to 24 hours, from 9 am today.
According to Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), the disruption is due to upgrading works to the water supply system at Kolam Air Bukit Dengkil Reservoir.
Air Selangor, in its Tweet also listed the 47 affected areas.
Air Selangor said that the maintenance and upgrading works at the Bukit Dengkil Reservoir are in full swing and are expected to be completed at 9:00pm tomorrow.
“Air Selangor is mobilising water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals,” the company posted on its Facebook.
Air Selangor added that the water supply will begin to be distributed in stages to consumers after the water supply system is stabilised.
“The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.”
