The government finally issued a statement saying that disciplinary action will be taken against teachers who refused to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
It’s reported that the Public Service Department (PSD) has given unvaccinated teachers up to 1 November to get their shots.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon urged teachers throughout Malaysia to comply with the circular issued by the PSD.
Action will be taken against these teachers to ensure that the teaching and learning sessions of students are not affected.

According to a report by The Star, so far a total of 388,897 teachers have completed the vaccination.
Mah said teachers who do not want to receive the vaccine on the grounds of health problems need to submit a health report certified by a health officer at a government hospital, and it should also be sent to their department heads.
