Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday announced that all computer and telecommunication shops as well as book and stationery shops will be allowed to operate during the National Recovery Plan (NRP) period starting today (July 15, 2021).
According to a Berita Harian report, the permission for the operation was decided through a special session of the National Security Council (MKN) after taking into account the feedback from students, parents, and teaching staff.
According to Ismail Sabri, Covid-19 has changed the way how learning and all educational institutions are now practicing the Online Home Teaching and Learning (PdPR) system.
Therefore, we allow computer and telecommunication shops as well as book and stationery shops to operate during the NRP period. It is, among others, to ensure that teachers and students can conduct PdPR without interruption.Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob via Berita Harian
