Two Malaysian inventors have earned the Malaysia National James Dyson Award with their cooler fridge that doesn’t run on electricity.

The invention is called KUNO, and is the creation of Kuan Weiking and Theodore Garvindeo Seah from the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology.

Drawing inspiration from the Labu Sayong – a traditional water pitcher made out of earth clay, the invention is designed to prolong the shelf life of consumables and perishables in hot and dry climates.

We are grateful to have been given this opportunity to showcase our invention and share our mission to make a positive impact to the environment and local communities.
