7-Eleven Staff Infected With COVID-19. Store Closed Until Further Notice

A 7-Eleven staff based at the Jalan Bunus store in Kuala Lumpur was tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently receiving medical attention at a government hospital.

The company said it’ll conduct a thorough sanitation and deep cleansing exercises in the affected store which will remain closed until further notice.

7-Eleven also added those who came into direct contact with the infected staff are placed under quarantine.

The retail chain said it is working with Ministry of Health (MOH) to identify and inform those who came into close contact with the staff as well as to find out where the person might have contracted the virus.

The company also said preventive measures have been taken across their operations to curb the spread of Covid-19, including regular sanitization of stores, hygiene protocols for staff members, and social distancing measures in-store for customers.
