Caretaker Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin was asked today about Covid-19’s surge during the winter season and his advise for Malaysians planning their year-end overseas holidays.
Injecting light humour in reminding Malaysians to take all necessary precautions with Covid-19 cases recording an upward trend, Khairy referred to London, a favourite destination among Malaysians, as ‘Kuala London’.
“It is recommended… for those making plans to celebrate Christmas in Kuala London, they can take their second (Covid-19 vaccine) booster shot. Next month, maybe in the third or fourth week of November, the bivalent vaccines will arrive, so they can take it (booster shot) now or wait, so they can celebrate Christmas in a grand manner at the Bicester Village (in London),” he said.
