vivo recently launched the X70 series flagship smartphones in Malaysia. The X70 series includes the X70 and X70 Pro.

The release marks the next chapter in their partnership with ZEISS.

A Focus On Photography

The X70 series touts imaging software and hardware capabilities and a camera system that was co-engineered with ZEISS.

The lenses on the X70 series smartphones are certified compliant with the ZEISS T coating.

A ZEISS Portrait Style feature, lets users take photos that mimic the look and feel of photos taken using classic ZEISS lenses.

There are three styles: Distagon has an anamorphic look, Planar introduces classic bokeh effects, and Sonnar creates a creamy bokeh

In addition, there is a suite of vivo’s multi-modal photography and videography features built-in, modes that help users enhance their video or photos in certain situations.

The Camera

As for the cameras themselves, the X70 series are all equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera. The X70 Pro has four rear-facing cameras (50MP, 12MP, 12MP, 8MP), and the X70 has three rear cameras (40MP, 12MP, and 12MP).

For a steady shot in photos and video, these cameras are paired with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS).

What’s Inside

Both the X70 Pro and X70 run on the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-vivo chip that is powered by a 4,450 mAh battery on the X70 Pro or a 4,400 mAh battery on the X70.

The display measures 6.5in across and has a 120Hx refresh rate.
