What do you get when you combine Under Armour, JBL, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? A pair of unique over the ear headphones that touts 45 hours of battery life, IPX 4 sweat resistance, adaptive noise cancelling, and more.
The feature set of the JBL UA Project Rock Over-Ear Headphones is rare.
People who exercise tend to prefer wireless or true wireless earbuds. This is because of the heat and sweat caused by covering the ears with a pair of headphones. It gets uncomfortable.
Also, more often than not, earbuds are designed to be sweat resistant, but not headphones.
This pair of headphones however has all the standard features of a high-end pair of headphones like vents, adaptive noise canceling, ambient mode, voice commands, and uses USB-C. But, in a sweat resistance package.
It could also survive The Rock’s rigorous three to four hour daily routine for a whole week before needing a recharge.
Even the sound of the headphone is said to have been finely tuned by The Rock.
It does not look bad either. The JBL UA Project Rock Over-Ear Headphones features The Rock’s signature Brahma Bull Emblem, the symmetrical one, not the one with the raised eyebrow.
On the Under Armour website, these headphones have a price tag of 300USD (~RM1,258.50), which is actually on par with the price of good noise cancelling over the ear headphones.
