In Malaysia, the official Sony stores still do not have the Playstation 5 (PS5) regularly in stock, months after the gaming console was launched in November last year.

Meanwhile, in Australia, it was reported that a recent restock of PS5 revealed a new model with a new model number has been released. That makes Australia the first country to receive this new PS5.

There has not been any official documentation on the PS5 Disc Edition (model CFI-1102A) and its new features, if any. However, it is noted that the screws on the new model have been replaced with thumbscrews.

It is also speculated that this model of the PS5 Disc Edition is lighter than the previous model. The same thing that happened with the PS5 Digital Edition (CFI-1100B) last month.

We could only hope that the changes made to these PS5 models are a part of the solution to the current global shortage of the highly desirable gaming console.
