Vivo launches NEX 3 in M’sia; the first 5G phone in the market

Vivo recently revealed their latest flagship, the NEX 3 to Malaysia.

The phone is packed with features such as notch-free full-display design, triple camera setup that includes a 64MP main camera and is priced at RM3,899.

Did we also mention that its 5G capable?

It is the first 5G that you can buy right now and with Malaysia pushing towards the fifth-generation cellular technology, this should be one of the devices you should look out for if you those fast connection speeds.

Want to know more about the phone? Here are a few things that might excite you.

1. Display that goes to the edge

The NEX 3 sports a display that stretches to the edge of the phone and curves at the side to create a more super visual experience.

At 6.89 inches, it features a notch-free display that has a screen-to-body ratio of 99.6%, which basically means the bezels on this phone are really, really thin.

Another neat feature of the phone is the lack of physical buttons that gives it a seamless, touch-controlled unibody design.

The side buttons are replaced with the X-axis Haptic Vibration motor that uses haptic feedback to imitate physical buttons (something like the MacBook Pro’s trackpad).

NEX 3 also sports an in-display fingerprint scanner which has been a staple in a lot of flagship smartphones this year.

2. Triple the cameras, triple the fun

On NEX 3’s back cover sits a round panel with three cameras (similar to that fruit phone that everybody lined up for) which allows you to take wide-angle, telescopic and macro photos.

It also has the Pro Mode for those who want to tinker before taking their photos.

A standout camera feature has to be the 16MP front camera, where it is tucked away in the device and pops up from the top once you open the front camera.

The phone also has a feature (Portrait Master’s Hyper-HDR) designed for taking portraits where it increases dynamic range accuracy between a user’s face and the background’s lightest spot.

What this means is that the portraits that you take would still look bright even in a dim setting.

3. Powerful innards

The NEX 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus and UFS 3.0 high-speed flash memory where it allows you to play the latest video games on the device without breaking a sweat.

To dissipate the heat from all that gaming, the phone also has a vapor chamber cooling system that keeps the phone cool even with heavy usage.

It’s one of those devices that you wouldn’t have to worry about the phone overheating even after some intense PUBG sessions with your friends for long stretches.

The battery’s big capacity (at 4500mAh) and power-saving technologies that give users battery life that can last for a long time, but if you need to charge, Vivo’s FlashCharge 22.5W can charge your phone to full capacity in no time.

All in all, the NEX 3 is a good flagship device by Vivo that is capable to handle all your daily needs whether it’s to take a good photo (or selfie), play some video games or watch videos.
