In Greek mythology, Elysian was the paradise to which heroes conferred immortality were sent to. Paying homage the mythology, The Elysian is where immortal Whiskies get sent to. If heaven were a Whisky Bar the Elysian would be it.
Key to this specialty Whisky Bar’s success is the immense goodwill and experience banked by Malaysian Owner-Bartenders Kevin Low & Yao Wong amongst the whisky-loving community whilst offering whisky to suit all budgets and levels of experience. In short they are knowledgeable but not so much that they are in love with themselves.
To pay homage to the Whisky Gods, they have painstakingly built a collection of 350 rare and independently bottled whiskies whilst adding 10 new whiskies every week though the number is probably much more given their passion. With carefully selected bottles only made possible by relationships that span the World, you are assured every dram will be accompanied with a rich story and understanding of flavour profiles.

For those less committed to conversations about cask strength, angel taxes and limited edition ABV bottling, affordable Suntory Hakushu Distillers Reserve highballs infused with fermented fruits of various flavours are available. From personal experience the highballs stand out and go down well. Also on offer are cocktails and a rotating beer menu.
The bar’s aesthetics and design pays homage to other Whisky places of worship (Whisky Bars) globally with a long Californian redwood bar, warm dark wood interiors with soft jazz and old classics to accompany you on your Whisky journey.

The Malaysian owner-bartenders are no strangers to the Whisky scene having bagged multiple awards ranging from “Whisky Bar of the Year 2018” from the Australian Bartender Magazine, Time out Magazine’s “People’s choice award 2018 + 2019” and most notably “Whisky Bar of the Year 2021” by Whisky Magazine.
