In conjunction with World Coffee Day, Pavillion Bukit Jalil is celebrating the wonderful day with – yes, you guessed it right – coffee!

Thanks to them, we got to hop on a Crazy Kopi Tour and tasted five different coffee in one day. Yes, that also means that we had countless toilet visits and a massive caffeine rush!

But well, coffee lovers would do anything for coffee, isn’t that right?

We’ve sprinkled a little bit of coffee fun facts for you too, in honour of World Coffee Day this 1 October.

From cold brews to cofftails, here are nine cafes or coffee stores that you can visit at Pavilion Bukit Jalil:

1. illy Caffè

Hailing from Italy, illy Caffè is recognized around the world for their high quality and velvety taste of coffee. Their coffee is a unique blend of nine different pure Arabica beans.

A signature take there is the illycrema, an espresso that is whipped and cooled for two hours to create a creamy, rich and indulgent coffee treat. It’s like a coffee-flavoured cloud honestly.

If you love mocha, you should definitely try their Nuvola drink (which means cloud in Italy). It’s a chocolate drink accompanied by a good amount of creamy and fluffy illycrema and topped with whipped cream.

2. Artelier Coffee

Artelier Coffee has everything dirty. The drinks, we meant. 👀

Curated by Japanese master barista and coffee consultant Masahiro Aoki, Artelier Coffee comes in with different ‘Dirty’ speciality coffee every month like the Dirty [Latte], Dirty Houjicha, Dirty Matcha and more.

Their Dirty Matcha tastes like regular matcha but with coffee. They’ll also be introducing their Dirty Mocha that’ll be exclusively available in October only.

Location: Artelier Coffee, Level 3 (Orange Zone) & Level 5 (Orange Zone)

3. HWC Coffee

Fun Fact: Did you know that coffee has scores too? They’re determined in a Coffee Review where coffee that scores 80 (out of 100) and above is only qualified to be called speciality coffee.

HWC Coffee recently just revealed their new and seasonal speciality coffee bean which is called Neroli. This coffee bean scored 93 points under the coffee review which makes it the highest-rated coffee carried by HWC. It has floral and fruity notes, accompanied by aromatic woody undertones.

They also have their speciality drink which is called the Triple Champion Brown Sugar Cafe Latte, a boba drink with coffee. Creamy and chewy at the same time.

4. Bukit Jalil Tsutaya Books

Fun Fact: Coffee makes you impulsive. With that high caffeine rush, you’re bound to be energetic. And with great energy, comes great impulsivity. You better not go shopping after two or three drinks of coffee.

To avoid impulsive purchases, why not chill at Tsutaya Bookstore? They have a cafe there too – so after the cup of joe, go and find a book to dim down that impulsive buying.

Pair their selection of freshly brewed coffee with their signature Autumn Special Mont Blanc Dorayaki (pancake with chestnut cream). While you’re there, give their espresso tonic a try. Carbonated coffee? Don’t mind if we do.

5. CO2 Coffee Bar

Fun Fact: This is the first coffee bar in Malaysia. They sell coffee and they sell alcohol-infused coffee. It’s never too early for a drink cup of coffee. 🍹

While they do have cocktails with coffee called cofftails, they have a lot of mocktails too. A mixture of caffeine, fruits, smoky spices and herbs, these coffee mocktails challenge your taste buds. Who knew coffee could go well with pineapple, mango or even coconut milk?

A few good suggestions are their Passiflora and Coco Get Nut. The Passiflora gives a fresh citrus taste of passion fruit, pineapple and lemon to their cold brew. For the Coco Get Nut, you can really taste the creamy coconut milk in the espresso – it’s super rich.

7. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL)

Fun Fact: Did you know that cold brew originated from Kyoto Japan?

It’s smoother, sweeter, and less acidic, which makes it a popular choice. CBTL has an amazing cold brew with a premium blend of Bali Blue Moon and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffee with chicory steeped cold for 20 hours.

CBTL is also celebrating their 25th birthday too with a special Lavender Cold Brew Latte. Go and try it if you love purple drinks!
