Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is celebrating the holiday season with some great new drinks and delicious desserts that you really should not miss.
In addition to their returning favourite Double Chocolate Peppermint, their new flavour for the year is a range of blackcurrant drinks, with thick syrup made from real fruit.
Fruity season in drink form
I am quite fond of chocolate-y ice-blended drinks, so it was particularly exciting to try the new Double Chocolate Blackcurrant Ice Blended.
The drink is visually quite pleasing. Instead of being plain brown, the ribbons of blackcurrant sauce cuts through the drink beautifully, while the flavoured whipped cream also lends a touch of colour to the drink.

The Double Chocolate Blackcurrant Ice Blended also tastes like it looks: expect a rich chocolate flavour elevated by the blackcurrant sauce.
The blackcurrant sauce itself is fruity and very natural, pairing particularly well to cut through the sweetness of the chocolate so you get a drink that’s refreshing until the end. The metaphorical cherry on top is that the drink isn’t too sweet, much like the majority of CBTL’s usual offerings.

Still, if ice blended drinks aren’t your thing, try it out as a Blackcurrant Cold Brew Sweet Tea or Sparkling Blackcurrant Cold Brew Tea.
Decadent holiday desserts
CBTL is bringing in more than just holiday drinks with their legitimately wide variety of holiday desserts. There’s something for everyone, each appropriately themed for the festive season.

Show-stoppers and impressive options include a full-sized Snowy Holiday gingerbread village, a classically German taste of holiday spices with the fruity Warm Winter Log, or a simple not-too-sweet Jingle Berry Swirl.
If you’re more keen on chocolate-y flavours, try out the rich Happy Holiday Log, or the black forest cake with fruits aptly named Winter Forest, or the chocolate tart dusted with edible gold and aromatic spices Starry Starry Night.

Ending the year with a festive bang
There are a lot more to look forward to as well, such as their surprisingly delicious and filling savoury options of the Beef Steak Pandesal or Grandpa’s Turkey Sandwich.
