Crispy, meaty Indonesian dishes under RM10 at Sunway Mentari

Warung Pojok in Sunway Mentari is exactly one of those places where you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

While the outside may seem a little run-down and unassuming, it’s heaven for the simple comforts of fried meats and rice.
They serve a variety of Indonesian-style fried meat for cheap, such as a whole puyuh (quail) at RM6, chicken at RM5, a whole lele (cat fish) at RM4.50, and a whole kembung (mackerel) at RM5.
They also serve traditional dishes like soto ayam (Indonesian-style chicken soup) and bakso (meatballs).
Though their menu is relatively small, the food is delicious and the portions are large. We recommend sharing a portion of rice (which comes with soup) with a friend!
One of their must-orders is extra joss, a popular Indonesian sports drink mixed with condensed milk. It comes in original, mango, grape, and honeydew flavours.

It’s not a fancy place by any means, but it’s extremely generous on your wallet and stomach.
