[Review] Wing Wing, London-based Korean fried chicken joint, debuts in KL

Looking to satisfy your poultry cravings?
Well, fans of fried chicken would be pleased to know that the popular London-based cult favourite chicken joint, Wing Wing has finally made its way to KL!
Serving up the planet with the freshest and krispiest Korean-style fried chicken, Wing Wing offers customers a wide variety of edgy Asian-European inspired dishes that are bound to tantalise your taste buds.

Famous for their signature chicken wings, drumettes and drumsticks, cooked in true Korean chimaek fashion with a selection of secret sauces that will have customers pecking away non stop. (but unlike true Korean
chimaek dining there’s no beer included here…)
Those hungry for some good ol’ fried chicken have a choice of three different flavours;
Soy-Garlic

Its good sweet chicken with a hint of saltiness to it, great for those looking for that perfect juicy and umami combo.
Spicy

Which to be fair, is not spicy at all, but rather a spiced-peppery flavour, just great enough for those looking for a bit of an extra kick to their birds.
Liquorice

By far our favourite, it’s sweet and savoury with just the right amount of zestiness to it. Definitely would have you chowing down to the bone.
Other worthy mentions from Wing Wing’s menu includes;
Chicken Katsu Bao

A serving of Wing Wing’s signature krispy chicken topped with a tangy Kimchi coleslaw, pickles, onions, all wrapped up in a fluffy mantou bau – a Chinese-style lightly fried steam buns.
Krispy Chicken Salad

A lil something for the health-conscious people out there. This salad bowl features a mixed variety of vegetables including cucumbers, celeries, cherry tomatoes, onions and pickles, all completed with a hearty serving of krispy fried chicken to give you that added protein boost.
Hot Bao Nuts

Be sure to leave some room for DEEZ NUTS! Wing Wing offers three delectable pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth which includes Pineapple Orange, Peanut Butter and Banana Caramel.
Though Wing Wing’s KL outlet does lack in the fun, funky atmosphere of its overseas counterparts, what with its karaoke sessions and bottomless chicken entres and whatnot…

The small and vibrant store features a relaxed, chill ambience for those looking for good food, served fast.
So if you have chicken on the brain, you can head on over to Wing Wing outlet store located on the 6th floor at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
