Monkeys Canopy Resort successfully hosted the Eagle Eye Driving Range Open Day 2025, a community-focused golf event designed to nurture interest in the sport across multiple age groups, including adults, women golfers, children (5–8 years old), juniors (9–12 years old), and families.

The Open Day reflected Monkeys Canopy Resort’s commitment to grassroots sports development by creating an accessible and inclusive platform for both first-time golfers and enthusiasts. Participants experienced structured learning environments, interactive challenges, and guided practice sessions in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

The event was officiated by Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Merina Gan, Vice President of the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), highlighting the importance of early-stage golf development, youth participation, female inclusion, and long-term ecosystem building for the sport in Malaysia.

A Full Day of Golf Experiences for All Ages

The Eagle Eye Driving Range Open Day 2025 featured a comprehensive lineup of engaging activities, including:

  • Golf equipment demonstrations by leading industry vendors
  • Vendor booths showcasing golf gear, accessories and services
  • Golf clinics led by professional coaches, categorized for:
    • Adults
    • Kids (5-8 years old)
    • Juniors (9-12 years old)
  • Long Drive Competition
  • Best Swing Challenge
  • Driving range trial sessions and guided practice zones

These programs introduced golf fundamentals in an approachable and enjoyable way, encouraging confidence and enthusiasm among new players.

The Open Day also welcomed invited vendors from the golf accessories sector, sports industry, golf academies, and golf membership and application platforms, who set up on-site booths to engage directly with visitors. These vendors showcased the latest golf equipment, training programs, memberships, and digital solutions—creating a valuable touchpoint between industry players and the
golfing community.

Adding to the excitement, over 50 lucky draw prizes were sponsored jointly by participating vendors and Monkeys Canopy Resort, rewarding attendees throughout the day and enhancing the overall event experience.

Launch of Ladies Zone

A key highlight of the Open Day was the official launch of Ladies Zone at Eagle Eye Driving Range. This dedicated space offers a safe, welcoming, and private environment for women to enjoy golf at their own pace, supporting increased female participation and aligning with MGA’s long-term development goals.

Seasonal and Resort-Wide Highlights

In conjunction with the Open Day, guests were treated to several festive and highly anticipated attractions across Monkeys Canopy Resort, including:

  • Monkeys Canopy Christmas Bazaar & Year-End Party (20-31 December 2025 – A festive marketplace featuring artisanal crafts, holiday treats, family activities and themed retail pop-ups.
  • Snowfall Experience at the Floating Pavilion – Magical snowfall sessions delighted families and children, creating a winter-inspired festive atmosphere in the heart of Cheras.
  • Opening of Malaysia’s First Immersive Indoor Forest (Enchanted Forest) – The debut of Enchanted Forest introduced guests to a story-driven, interactive indoor experience inspired by Malaysian nature and culture, combining sound, light, movement and interactivity.

These attractions transformed the Open Day into a vibrant, resort-wide family celebration.
