Wild Digital Launches BOOM21 List To Recognise The Region’s Top Disruptors

Wild Digital, the region’s premier tech conference powered by Catcha Group – introduced a brand-new initiative: BOOM21.
BOOM21 is a list that aims to identify and recognise 21 deserving individuals for their disruptive innovations within Southeast Asia’s tech space, and is set to be one of Wild Digital’s main events for 2021.
Fresh from their four-day flagship conference in November, Wild Digital is already kickstarting next year’s lookout events.
We’re not just a geographical playbox for global VCs, we actually are a global hotbed of ideas and innovation.

Taking inspiration from that, Wild Digital is currently seeking nominations for the region’s top tech entrepreneurs and makers that have created impactful innovations within the past two years.
Wild Digital Southeast Asia 2020 was the 6th edition of Wild Digital’s flagship conference. Held virtually for the first time, the event welcomed 2000+ attendees from 36 countries across the globe, and saw 130 speakers — including 8 keynote speakers — on their Main Stage program.
BOOM stands for Bold, Original, Outstanding Minds – in reference to Wild Digital’s vision to highlight the region’s best and to provide a platform for further dialogue and engagement.
As such, the nominees will not be restricted to any particular age group or vertical, and will be competing equally across the board. The main criteria being that they must be based in Southeast Asia and have an existing implementation or working prototype of their idea.
The final top 21 will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges, with the successful nominees announced in February 2021. To be disruptive is not only to create the latest technological innovations that solves an existing problem; the judging criteria includes evaluating the sustainability of the nominees’ ideas and the positive impact it has towards the community at large.

In addition to the list, BOOM21 will be held in conjunction with a one-day virtual conference featuring Wild Digital’s signature Main Stage program of fast-paced panel sessions and presentations.
The conference, scheduled for 31 March 2021, will be free to attend and speakers will consist of a mix of the top 21 disruptors and other key industry players. Registrations will open in January.
