A father in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, has been hailed as the “ultimate superdad” after he single-handedly stopped a snatch thief, all while cradling his young child in one arm.
CCTV footage from a petrol station in Bandar Sunway, which recently surfaced online, shows the dramatic incident unfolding around midnight on 25 December last year.
A woman was at the station with her husband and child when a motorcyclist suddenly approached and tried to snatch her handbag.
The husband, who was holding their toddler at the time, didn’t hesitate.
Seeing his wife in danger, the burly man immediately rushed forward and managed to overpower the robber, using just one hand while keeping his child secure in the other arm.
Bystanders Help Pin Down Suspect
Seeing the commotion, other people at the petrol station didn’t hesitate—they rushed over to help pin the thief to the ground while someone called the police.
Officers arrived shortly and took the suspect into custody.
Since then, the father has been earning widespread praise online.
People can’t stop talking about how quickly he reacted and how calm he stayed throughout—protecting his child while fearlessly stopping a robber.
Many are saying his bravery and composure were genuinely remarkable.
