Being a food delivery rider in Malaysia comes with its fair share of challenges. Long hours on the road, unpredictable weather, and the hustle to complete orders on time—it’s demanding work that requires serious dedication.

But now and then, something extraordinary happens that restores your faith in people.

That’s precisely what happened to Rafiuddin, a delivery rider who recently experienced an unforgettable moment of generosity when a customer handed him what could be one of the biggest tips in Malaysian delivery history.

The entire incident was captured on camera and posted on TikTok.

It starts off pretty standard—Rafiuddin’s just doing his job, dropping off food at an upscale residential area in Kuala Lumpur – standard stuff: another order, another day.

Then he meets the customer, a foreign man named Brandon, who seems very friendly, and that’s when things got ‘complicated’.

When “Keep the Change” Actually Means Something

Instead of the usual quick handoff and goodbye, Brandon does something completely unexpected.

Just as Rafiuddin was about to leave, Brandon asked him to wait a moment—he had a tip for him.

Rafiuddin waited briefly on his bike before Brandon returned and handed him several RM100 notes.

The rider’s first instinct? He declined, saying it was too much.

But Brandon insisted, explaining he was leaving the country soon and had no use for the remaining ringgit, so he wanted Rafiuddin to have it.

And not just one or two—multiple bills, one after another —and Rafiuddin’s clearly stunned—the estimate came to approximately RM1,000.

Small Gestures, Big Impact

Online comments went absolutely crazy – some people were genuinely happy for the guy; others were half-joking about hoping for their own lucky break, and the act of kindness inspired many.

Obviously, not everyone can afford to tip RM1,000, but the point is that even small acts of appreciation matter.

A few extra ringgit, a genuine thank you, or just being patient and respectful—it all makes a difference.

As for Rafiuddin? He’s probably still in shock and definitely counting those bills repeatedly to make sure it really happened.

The viral moment comes amidst ongoing complaints about riders asking for tips, with some customers expressing frustration over the practice.

Brandon’s gesture, however, shows what genuine, voluntary generosity looks like—and perhaps reminds us all that kindness works best when it comes from the heart.
