A Chinese tourist has spilt the deets on a wild incident that went down at KLIA.

According to a post on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu by a travel blogger named Zhu, an alleged security lapse allowed a ticketless passenger to board a plane, causing a significant flight delay.

The incident occurred on 28 August as she prepared to fly back to Xiamen, China.

Zhu noticed a woman kept walking around the cabin.

When the flight attendant asked for her seat, she straight up said she didn’t have one.

Passengers Forced to Deplane for Safety Check

The crew had to make everyone grab their stuff and get off the plane so they could double-check everything.

Zhu said they even announced that some “non-passengers” were causing trouble.

The woman was subsequently taken away by airport staff and later by police when she attempted to reboard the plane.

Meanwhile, all the other passengers had to go through passport and ticket checks again before reboarding.

Thanks to this whole fiasco, the flight landed in Xiamen four hours late.

Possible Explanations for the Security Breach

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many questioning how the woman managed to pass through security checkpoints and board the plane without a valid ticket.

One possible explanation for the woman’s presence on the plane without a ticket is that she may have been a passenger from the previous leg who did not leave the airport.

However, the question remains about why she would leave Kuala Lumpur so soon after just arriving there.

Sin Chew reported that Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) would investigate, but the airline has yet to comment.

This security lapse highlights the importance of robust security measures at airports to ensure the safety of passengers and the integrity of air travel.
